Compost the leaves first. It is easy. Just put them in a pile on the
ground. Mow or scythe grass and weeds, add that to the pile.
Weed the garden with how and put that with a little dirt on the pile. Put
kitchen scraps on the pile. Save pee and put that on it too.
Keep it watered down so it doesn;t dry out. Turn it from time to time. It
will be ready for use in a few months.
You would be surprised how quickly it works off and shrinks in size,
becoming more dense with abundant biologically active humus and nutrients.

I have thick clay just a few inches down and want to do something to jump
