Re: [nafex] Jerry Lehman

Wow, this news has really hit me. I was just thinking of him a little while ago. I should have called him. Jerry was always very kind to me and others in the group. He was always so ubiquitous at the meeting, I find it hard to think he would not be around to give sage advice. He was my introduction to the nut growers group and I always wanted to work with him on some persimmon and pawpaw projects.
He really lived his life doing what he loved and had so much knowledge to share. Whoever carries on his work has some big shoes to fill.

[nafex] Jerry's Passing

I am sorry to hear of Jerry Lehman's death. We will miss him! He will
leave a gaping hole in the Fruit and Nut Grower network.

You're misunderstood me. The issue isn't that I can't create a Google account. The issue is that I don't want to create a Google account.

I'm trying to as much as possible minimize the number of accounts I have online. I would rather not get tangled up with Facebook, with Google, with any of these people. Avoiding them entirely and still having reasonable communications may not be possible, but I don't want to do any more of it than I have to.

Please do not create any accounts for me anywhere without my explicit agreement -- in fact if it's possible for you to do that, that would be pretty unnerving.

This is horrible. I hope that Barbara will be ok.

I was just speaking with Jerry a few weeks ago about plans to get the important cultivars over to my farm to goal of preserving Claypool's and Jerry's work.

I will miss Jerry very much.
