first ripe figs about August 15. Other varieties of Celeste, and figs
like Hardy Chicago, Stella, Atreano, Conadria, Black Spanish,
Armenian, other LSU varieties all start producing ripe fruit in late
September. It'd be fun to track down what Celeste was crossed with to
make the LSU release.
