[nafex] Sapsucker damage on jujube

I was surprised to find that a yellow-bellied sapsucker has been feeding
on my 5" caliper "So" jujube! I have most commonly seen damage on mature
pecans, so this was surprise to me.

I am planning to wrap the trunk with hardware cloth or some sort of tree
wrap.

Does any one have a favorite product to deter further damage?
