Oops. Forgot to promote blueberries for western KY - by all means, plant
rabbiteye and Southern Highbush types... even though UofKY extension folks
may not recommend them, our experience is that they're 10X more productive
than the Northern Highbush types we started out with.
Apple serviceberry (A.x grandiflora) can be very good - but some years, and
some varieties, fruits will be decimated by cedar-serviceberry rust.
