[nafex] OT: Bay Laurel in 6B?

OK, I'm pushing it on the subject, but I have a feeling most of us grow
more than just fruit (and veggies)...

Is anyone successfully growing bay laurel as an outdoor perennial in a 6b
or colder hardiness zone? I've got a perennial (so far - 2 years) rosemary
in our east northeast-facing front garden up against the house that seems
happy so far, and the online literature seems to indicate it and bay laurel
are similar in their zone preferences.

I wonder if I can get some bay laurel seed and allow some natural selection
as was the case with the rosemary...

Thanks -

-Pete
